Hey pple...

This is a joint blog shared by 2 lazy pple - Ciping & Wilbur, who wishes to use each other to maintain the blog. Sadly, Ciping is the more inactive one and Wilbur does most of the work in the end. Feel free to post comments on the tag-board, it feels good to know pple are actually reading and responding to your posts. It gives motivation to write more.

The following is a clarification about the printing scandal and may be skipped (go to the bottom) if you are looking for some serious humour or joking around:

The comment by mr kf (pls do clarify) on my tagboard led me to realise that perhaps my blog has suddenly become a favourite among VS school teachers. In order that I won't get a testimonial which says, "this student has been a disgrace to vs" and in case anyone do not understand what I meant when I said this blog was not to taken seriously, and that i do not expect to claim responsiblity for those words, I have decided not to 'try and be nice', but to give my honest, true opinion (which I can claim responsibility for) and clarify matters. For one, look at talkingcock.com, if they were expected to take responsibilty for everything they said, the govt would be filing gazillions of lawsuits against them. But they do reflect a certain truth. In my case:
1. The students are indeed unhappy about the high printing costs
2. Mr Ang is indeed not very popular among the students

For the first one, even if the school is over-charging, it is probably by only a few dollars, and I won't want to see teachers just for a few dollars. Also, although a possiblity of corruption does exist, the govt's stance on anti-corruption makes it highly impossible. I have complained enough about it, and will not carry it on anymore because it is wasting my blog space. I will perhaps comment responsibly in the forum.

For the 2nd one, Mr Ang's policies and the style he runs the school are indeed not popular with the students. The stuff about 'sports cars' and 'moles' are not what I made up, but jokes and criticisms I heard from my friends. To gain more popularity among students, he might need to change the way he runs the school, so unhappiness such as "WHere is our half day?" may be avoided. The same thing applies to Mr Chia's unpopularity.

I do apologise though, if some people might have gotten offended by my words. In fact, I too do feel certain parts have been a little harsh.

Back to the present -
I realised today I have a secret admirer. Yes. During my chem prac. And it is the precipitate! It seems the ppt loves me soo much it refuses to go away. In fact, it has happened twice before:

1. During a practice
The cation was zinc. Marcus and I spent almost a whole bottle of aqueous ammonia, and... we could still see little flakes of ppt.
2. During prelims
The cation was zinc(again). There was no time to waste a whole bottle of aqueous ammonia, and what I got didn't dissolve.

Thus, today I decided to ask Mr Wong to give me something that WOULD dissolve in excess alkali. He gave me a spatula of some salt, asked me to dissolve in water, and add sodium hydroxide.

I dissolved it into water, divided it into 2 portions, and then, to a portion, I added NaOH. White ppt formed. Then, I added NaOH in excess, to about half-full (Mr Wong warned not to use the whole bottle). WHite ppt DID NOT DISSOLVE! Puzzled, I went to mr wong and presented my 'evidence'. The 'guru' took the test-tube, flicked it a few times, and BINGO, ppt dissolved.

After gaining 'enlightenment', I went back to my humble bench and repeated the experiment. Yet, to my horror, however hard I flicked and shook the test-tube, what I got was half a test-tube of a cloudy suspension.

I did not go to Mr Wong again, because I had found the true reason behind. The ppt loves me soo much it just won't go away. This has been proven after many experiments. It has become a law, "Wilbur's Law". Study it and get A1 for chem prac.

I hope zinc do not come out for our o'lvl.
