This is a joint blog shared by 2 lazy pple - Ciping & Wilbur, who wishes to use each other to maintain the blog. Sadly, Ciping is the more inactive one and Wilbur does most of the work in the end. Feel free to post comments on the tag-board, it feels good to know pple are actually reading and responding to your posts. It gives motivation to write more.
To Mok: I'll try to keep it as short as possible. You only have to read till here, you needn't read the rest. So it should be short enough? =)
To priscilla: I have no idea why you have to post this on my tag-board when like 'hello you see me everyday'? Making 1 whole big round to push me to Rj? Sometimes, re-think whether there are selfish intentions for such thoughts. Its kind of like a'My Dad is a multi-billionaire' mentality. Yes. "My bro is in RJ" certainly sounds much nicer than "my bro is in VJ". What about 'RJ people going to a musical' while 'VJ people go to rock concerts' is merely an analogy to demonstrate the different class. Staying in VJ does not definitely mean I'm staying in my comfort zone, unless you mean of course, my comfort zone in tems of distance. If not, VJ IS a top 3 jc, and compared to vs, which is around the 20th position. It is a big climb. Going to RJ would be a bigger climb, but yet not that much bigger, because both are within the top 3 jcs.
If both jcs were neutral jcs, with the only difference being in academic standards, I'd find both a tough climb, even VJ. However, what vj offers helps me to climb more easily. Based on a number of reasons:
1) Close proximity to house
2) Many friends
3) Familiar environment
4) Similar culture
If RJ offered all these, I would definitely jump at the opportunity even though it has tougher academic standards. Going to Rj would mean, on top of a much higher academic standard, a whole new environment, a whole new culture, a whole new bunch of faces... even if the distance don't matter.
It doesn't always mean the best jc with the best students and the best facilities is always the best jc for every1 who can make it there. Owen might have done much better at LIverpool had he gone over to Real Madrid. He now faces so much obstacles because of the whole new environment, and his teamates, who don't accept him. He needs to prove his worth, if not, he's gone.
So.. for all due respect to those who wishes for me to go to Rj, whether be it those who really wish me well, those with selfish reasons, or even those who wants me to go to rj so they'll have 1 person less to compete with for a place in VJ. I'll try to find out more, weigh the pros and cons, and come up with a decision.
I'll laugh if I get a double digit for my O's.
Work hard guys. Have faith in yourself. Not faith that you'll be able to get 6 pts without studying. But faith that you'll be able to put in your all for this exam, and achieve your best possible results. There's this feeling of satisfaction when you know you've really tried your best, did your best, and will get your best results. It is very hard to achieve, but possible. And when you have that, you'll have this reassurance, and will cease to worry about your results. Run this race well, and emerge champions.
