This is a joint blog shared by 2 lazy pple - Ciping & Wilbur, who wishes to use each other to maintain the blog. Sadly, Ciping is the more inactive one and Wilbur does most of the work in the end. Well.. there were fun times, but there were also boring times. I'm in serious doubt whether the ps2 was a good idea. The moment the ps2 came in & cld be played, it was left running for more than 12 hours at a stretch. Rest for a few hours. Then repeat. We didn't sleep much. But I think the ps2 rested less than we did. We can always see a few guys huddled in front of the ps2, in intense concentration. It seems that they were in greater concentration than they were during the O's. Occasionally, words like "AHAH! U MISSED!" & "KILL HIM! KILL HIM!" & "AHHHHHH!!!!" would be flung across the room. And it was sure funny when we were upstairs trying to sleep in the middle of night to hear such words.
Other than playing ps2, we played pool, swam in the pool, played lan, played bball, played cards, played rockets, talked cock, and even gambled. Yes.. blackjack with most modest bets of 10 to 50 cents, with the rare $1 or $1.50 by the more daring ones. Don't ask me how I won $12 after just an hour of play. Perhaps it is because i'm the class treasurer, so money is attracted to me. HAha. But anyway, those who lost to me have no reason to get upset. Because I put the money that I won back into the class fund and used it to pay for the pool next day. If you weren't there, then just treat it as 1 of another contribution to the class. :D
As I finally shared the remains (about $4) of the class fund with the few that were left on the last day... I can at last, finally, relinquish my post of class treasurer!
Being the class treasurer has been.. and will always be a memorable experience for me. There's been quite a few ups and downs. There's those few which I always have difficulty collecting money from, others which will always argue with as if I was collecting money for myself, and also people who accuse me of embezzling money, but of coz i know they're joking.. I hope. But there're others who always have their money ready for me, others who appreciate my effort, and the satisfaction I get when I finally finish collecting the money. And then, of course, settling the accounts is a headache. Sometimes I find myself missing a few dollars, and have to re-do n re-count many times before I finally get it correct, when I can simply just discount it. See.. I'm honest.
Being a treasurer is not necessarily a lucrative job. Many atimes I think I have extra money (YAY), but I go back and check and realise its actually juz nice (BOO). Then I might even have to dig a few bucks out of my pocket if it isn't enough. Tough life eh?
But of course, there's the privilege of being able to 'borrow' from the fund when you're in need of cash. And also, I get to fully enjoy my share of class fund since i'm in charge of it.
Yup. 1 year is indeed more than enough. Now I understand why Tat Chung quit after just 1 year.. The only sad thing is that I've been collecting money mostly for ANg and his gang. !@#@$%#^*(%. If you all realise, most of the money paid to me was for stuff like printing fees. And I collect all these kind of money w/o even feeling like collecting them at all. But what to do? Its my job. Too bad I wasn't able to collect money for the class due to all these. Every1 only had to pay 6 bucks this yr, and that's awfully little if u realise.
But nvm, we still had our chalet in the end.
