This is a joint blog shared by 2 lazy pple - Ciping & Wilbur, who wishes to use each other to maintain the blog. Sadly, Ciping is the more inactive one and Wilbur does most of the work in the end. Feel free to post comments on the tag-board, it feels good to know pple are actually reading and responding to your posts. It gives motivation to write more.
Still, it is no easy feat.
We also have to go for runs. Distance would be around 4.8 km. Luckily for me, somehow, I have managed to, due to some reason or another, miss 3 4.8km runs, and only did a 2.4 and a 1.2. But I'm sure I'll get my fair share of running come next week. Did I mention I dread running?
Coming to the kayaks. As VJ is not the top 4 schools in kayaking, and it was formed only 2 years ago. We have a shortage of funds, hence we have less kayaks. Add that to the overwhelming number of J1s that wanna join, we have only a few kayaks for around 20 people to share. If that seems impossible, read on and realize that its not.
Being competition kayaks, they are slim and long, hence, difficult to balance. They are a few different models. But the slimmest and longest I've tried is the K2, a doubles kayak. Basically, around 10 people gather around it. Then, 1 pair goes up while the rest either stabalize the kayak or watch the 'show'. It goes like that.
The pair mounts the kayak.
"Are you all ready?"
"Ready!"
"ok. 1..2..3, let go!"
Splash. The pair capsize.
The water is emptied.
"OK. Next!"
So you see, it doesn't matter that we are short of kayaks since most can't even leave the shore. However, I'm proud to announce that I've managed to mount and manouvere the T1 (singles) kayak without capsizing. =D

My GP teacher has terrible mood swings. Once, our whole class (except 2 people) were 7 minutes late for her class after a break. (We agreed to go late together.) She lost her cool, snapped at us, shouted angrily that she had never seen such a slack class like that before, nor had she ever lost her cool like that before. When I told my sister what she said, having been a student of her's before, my sister said she always said that. -_-. To add on to that, after snapping and 'losing her cool', she carried on with the lesosn as if nothing had happened. Hmmmm..
It would perhaps be better if I had Denys' mum teaching me.
