Hey pple...

This is a joint blog shared by 2 lazy pple - Ciping & Wilbur, who wishes to use each other to maintain the blog. Sadly, Ciping is the more inactive one and Wilbur does most of the work in the end. Feel free to post comments on the tag-board, it feels good to know pple are actually reading and responding to your posts. It gives motivation to write more.

< VJC Sports day 2005. >

This is 1 of the few Sports days when I actually enjoyed myself. And this is because it's the only sports day which I actually actively partcipated in.

Yes. Cheerleading, quite surprisingly. It all started around 2 - 3 weeks ago, when my classmate Jenn Haur dragged me to it. I thought then.. me + cheerleading? Oh man. Utter embarassment. I tried hard to fail the 'auditions'. But you can't actually fail when they don't even have enough guys to begin with. And so... albeit reluctantly, I found myself in the cheerleading squad.

Then things started to get better. I started to realize that doing stunts are actually quite fun, so I started to look forward to doing more of them (but to my disappointment, I found out in the end that there was only those few). Then, as we witnessed the competition by Ursa and Pegasus (who even had Tj cheerleaders to helped them), training intensified. Soon, training was held almost everyday and extending late into nights during the last week. All in all, I think Ursa, followed by Pegasus, then Aquila practised the most of all..

Lots of slack time, lots of jokes, lots of laughter during 'practice' people would be ashamed to call it practice. Still, in the end, we managed to get our act together, and best of all, there was a kind of bond formed between the team.

I expected Aquila to get third. 1st being Ursa, then Pegasus. I'd be happy with that. Surprisingly, we were the only house which did not flopped with our routine - ie. everything went smoothly, and for once, at that. And so, we managed to get 2nd ( and I heard, losing only by a point to URsa). Euphoria among the team (this applies more to the gals, since they're more concerned about cheerleading than guys, for obvious reasons). Yeah, I think we surpassed expectations by getting 2nd, and our gals team can be considered the happiest among all.

The guys are also happiest among all, since we're going to get a treat from our teacher-in-charge. :p

I might put up pictures if I can get my hands on any.

Cheerleading 2006? I might consider =).

-----------------------------

Now, its on to shift my focus onto Kayaking training and studying. Must get my act right within 1 month. Hope I'll be able to go full speed this month, and get my head back up above the water before its too late.
